Hello there, Dear Reader! Welcome to the internet finds goodness that is Sunday with Lagniappe Fitness. Indeed, some good reads this week, so settle in.
Let’s start off with the most controversial. Take the time to read this one, please.
Interesting, no? Personally, I’m not so sure there should be “sides” to this “argument,” but inevitably in our world, that’s what tends to happen. I would absolutely love to hear your thoughts in the comments below.
Next up, one of my perennial favorites, Tony Gentilcore. (Side note: I am beyond pumped to hopefully meet Tony at a conference in May. In a very un-creepy way, ha.)
This post is just one of the reasons why I like Tony and his content so much. He knows his stuff, and also knows how to relate it to clients. I have seen these results in myself and in clients, and will continue to encourage progressive strength training and the death of fitness magazines and pink dumbbells forevermore. Promise me you’ll think about it.
Following up on that, another thing to really think about in your choice of movement.
The reason you don’t make it is because you aren’t supposed to be there. You don’t have the motivation, the will, the emotional investment.
It’s pretty simple, do what you love. Find whatever it is that does provide you with motivation and healthy emotional investment. That’s the thing that will enhance your life the most and provide you with results.
Another thing to consider.
Yes, seriously. Personally, I’d rather have me some of that special sauce! Lesson: choose your indulgences wisely. Small does not necessarily equal better.
And the final final for this week, a shout out to Happy’s Running Club on the local news!
If you’re local and you like to run and you like good people, I expect to meet you on a Tuesday soon!
Have a great week
