Hello friends! Welcome back from vacation! Oh wait, that’s just me Since I’ve been a bit removed from the Interwebs this week, I’m sharing a few great favorites that are always relevant. Check out this week’s internet finds below!
First off, an awesome read for frankly, anyone. At any stage in life. But most poignantly, those in their 20s and 30s.
I love The Art of Manliness. It is just an awesome blog overall, for men and women, and I highly recommend you add this one to your weekly reads. And specifically this post hits home for so many, and a lot of people I know. I always tell people, you don’t have to just sit there. You know what you want to do, what’s calling you. So go do it! And if it doesn’t work out, you can either go back or move on to the next thing. Life won’t be over. It’s okay to have elements of ordinary mixed in with the extraordinary.
Next, a classic from a wonderful role model for women’s health and fitness, Tosca Reno.
I agree with her perspective wholeheartedly. I walk the walk, but I make my living based on my abilities to get results for clients, not on how I look. It’s why competing doesn’t appeal to me. It’s important to me that my body can do all that it’s meant to do, not just look a certain way. Just keep it all in mind next time you pick up one of those fitness magazines.
And finally, one of my favorite lists to peek at every once in a while.
I’m pretty proud to say that I’ve completed two of these, Big Sur and Twin Cities. And they were definitely bucket-list worthy! I’d like to check off a few more of them too, including Walt Disney World and maybe NYC. Have you done any of these? What are your bucket-list races?
Alright guys, back to the grind! Have a great week
