Join me each week (or so) for a new series on the blog called Sweat Date!  Check in on Thursdays to catch up on what’s going on in the world, in the gym, and on the road!

Sweat Date | Lagniappe Fitness

Hi y’all!  How’s it going?  We’re catching up in the gym this week for Sweat Date, so grab your towel and let’s warm up.

I’ve been finding a good groove in the gym lately, even though it’s a tough time of year for it.  Do you ever find that when you make a routine and start to see the same people at the same time every day, it takes on a community feel?  Like hey, we protect this squat rack from new guys who waste time in it talking on their phone.  It’s great stuff, and it keeps me coming back and looking forward to my gym time.  Sometimes it takes a few tries at location to find that feeling, but it’s so awesome when you find it.

Oh and speaking of a good groove in the gym, some of my favorite jams lately:

  • Busy Earnin’ – Jungle
  • The Island – Pendulum
  • Strong – Arno Cost & Norman Doray
  • Delirious (Boneless) – Steve Aoki, Chris Lake & Tujamo

Can you believe it’s only 34 days till Christmas?!  I LOVE Christmas.  Such a beautiful time of the year!  I keep telling my husband, everyone is so aggravated about retail stores putting out holiday stuff before Thanksgiving, and I say bring it on!  It’s the only time of year that anyone is even remotely happy, nice to each other, and even selfless.  Let’s embrace it, put up the decorations and tree, and start thinking of fun gifts for our loved ones.

So speaking of gifts, check these out for the fierce fit female in your world: pretty UnderArmour undies!

UA bra UA undies

I love UnderArmour undies for working out, and these would be a great addition to my (already overflowing) underwear drawer for casual wear.

I am feeling pretty strong so far…do you want to add a finisher?  Sweet, the Bear Crawl is always a good one!  Here’s how it goes:

Crawl 1Crawl 2 Crawl 3 Crawl 4

Keep your core strong, and move the opposite arm with the opposite leg in small steps.  Start with about 15 to 20 feet in each direction, and work up to double that.  It’s one of my favorites for the whole body.  Plus it’s kind of fun to get back to some primal roots, ha.

Whew, I am spent.  That was an excellent workout!  How are you feeling this week?  Can’t wait to catch up again next week on our #sweatdate!
