Hi! I’m happy that we’re nearing the end of another week, and it’s just about April. Because April is clearly the best month of the year. But anyway, even though we’re not quite there yet, we are here to catch up and have a Sweat Date, so let’s do this.
If we were going to work out and chat today, I’d suggest the gym so I could have more time to babble and tell you all about last week’s Midwest Influencer Network VIP Blogger Lounge.
I went last Friday night to this event, and as always, it was a blast. ALIVE Magazine and MWIN have done such a fabulous job of putting together great events for bloggers here in St. Louis, and they seem to just get better every time!
This season’s VIP Blogger Lounge took place at the Boo Cat Club. This was a venue change, and it was a change for the better. What a cool space! A great old building with lots of really interesting architectural features. Of course, I didn’t take any of my own pictures, but here’s one from ALIVE’s Executive Editor to show you how the space worked for this event.

There were several new brands in attendance this season, and I was really excited to interact with them. I see some great possible opportunities on the horizon.
One of which I’d love to make happen would be with Jord Wood Watches. Wood watch, you say? Why yes, wood watch. Absolutely gorgeous designs, fashionable, functional, sustainable, and local. Best of all worlds.
My favorite, Vogue Footwear was there again as well. I can never walk out without wanting something they’ve got on that table. Indeed, this sassy little flat is on its way to me as we speak. Because if I have a chance to wear something other than sneakers, I’m going to make a statement! Vogue is a great way to do it, and again, local.
And I can never resist a good flash tattoo, so I had to try one out from Glik’s. I can remember when Glik’s took over the old department store in my hometown in Northern Wisconsin. Little did I know, they were a really great company headquartered in Granite City, just over the river. Love connecting with them!
I also chatted with the folks from St. Louis Premium Outlets (because every once in a while I venture outside of the City and head to Chesterfield), paperdolls (who doesn’t love a good local boutique?), and 13th and Washington (if you’re looking for a new stylist, Kristen is your girl).
The best part of these events is catching up with all the other awesome blogger babes around town, and the amazing ALIVE staff. I mean hello, #hotmama + #foxy, courtesy of Sara’s Social Booth (book her now, she’s hilarious and adorable)!
